The story

Halflight is a fourteen-minute short about the hour between day and night, and the choice between staying where you belong and going where you might. Most of it plays out in a single room, lit by a window and a lamp.

The film premiered on the festival circuit and was later picked up for a streaming shorts collection.

On the shoot

Two days, one location, a cast of three. We shot on vintage anamorphic lenses to give the coast a soft, painterly edge, and finished the grade in our own suite the following week.
